Yap no. 2 + Tunese Introduction
Hi again. This is Schmortle! I had plans for today's blog, but I completely forgot everything I was going to write so it may feel very random.
I think one of the things I wanted to say was that I haven't been posting much recently. My last blog post was 2 weeks ago, and I can't remember if I worked on any other pages after that! I really should start working on this website more, but I'm really busy, so if I stick to my plan I have a couple hours once a week. I know that's not much, and considering how big I want this website to be, I don't know how long it will take to get it up and running. I really do want to start working on all the worldbuilding pages and conlang pages and all of that fun stuff but I think I first need to organize the "home" area (the general stuff) before expanding on the world.
However, I can tell you a little about this world that I am working on. It doesn't have a name yet, since I'm still working on the climate and biomes and all that stuff, and the map isn't complete, but it has a few cultures already. The lore is that a Dutch scientist/linguist called Arjen Peter Pešek accidentally travels to this strange world while researching in the Pursuit, perhaps, and ends up in this country or area called Tsaw (ṡaw). The Tsaw people are called Tunese people, and they speak their language, Tunese. To give you an idea of what this language sounds like, this is "The sun shines" in Tunese:

The strange letters in the // show the pronunciation using the International Phonetic Alphebt, so if you don't know what that is you might wanna check it out! It's really cool. I would also put an interlinear gloss of the sentence as well, but sadly I am not smart enough to code the formatting of that yet. You might notice the diacritics aren't in the right font either!
Anyway, Arjen Peter Pešek arrives here, and I'm still working on the rest. I don't know if this will be a story, or just a world, we'll see!
Since I don't want this post to get too long, I think I will introduce the other cultures another day. Now I have to go to my piano lesson, so I will see you some other time. I hope I can get back into working on this website!
